This is the time of the year when short course racing gets heated. Not just with the blistering summer temperatures that can scorch tracks and fans alike, but also in the competition for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series championship. As we head into the midpoint of the LOORRS racing season, drivers and crews will have to focus even harder as the points grow closer and closer together among the top ranked contenders. One small slip of the wheel or the wrench could result in being knocked off the podium or even worse, mayhem out on the track. One thing is for sure, its going to be a battle for the top spots in the next upcoming rounds where some will look to pull away from the pack, and others will look for redemption and a shot a the podium.
Top names like Marty Hart, Brian Deegan, Carl Renezeder and Bryce Menzies among others in the Pro 2 division are all going to be pushing hard this upcoming weekend in Tooele, UT for rounds 7 & 8 at Miller Motorsports Park. With some early season hiccups, Marty and Team ReadyLIFT are hammering out this weekend’s strategy. Rest assured that Marty is a seasoned off road racer with enough experience and tenacity to pull a victory out of this weekend’s races.
Looking into the Pro Lite division, Kyle Hart is coming straight off his first career gold from the previous round in Reno. This first place finish places him back in the race for the championship in the fifth spot behind Sheldon Creed, Brian Deegan, RJ Anderson and Justin Smith. With so many strong racers in this competition, both Kyle and Marty will need every ounce of racing skill they possess to fight off the others and have a strong showing.
The track at Miller Motorsports Park offers its own blend of unique challenges that will test every racer in their divisions. Both rounds this weekend will be day races unlike the last few which have been under the lights. While the weather looks to be perfect for racing, expect the heat on the track to be red hot. So for everyone looking for some great off road racing excitement, head over to Tooele, UT this weekend- June 21st and 2nd and cheer on Marty and Kyle Hart along with Team ReadyLIFT as they race for another victory.
